Overview of a University's Endowment
Speaker: John J. Jesse III, MBA, Treasurer Creighton University
During this session, John will address such topics as purpose, administration, portfolio construction and asset allocation.
Mr. Jesse was named Treasurer in 2021. Previously, he served as Associate Vice President-Finance since August 2010, with responsibility for leading the University’s debt management, endowment operations, treasury, risk management, procurement and business service center functions. He also is a member of the University’s Sustainability Governance Committee. Previously, Mr. Jesse served as Corporate Treasurer for InfoGroup from 2007 through 2010. Prior to that, he held various finance and operating roles for 20 years at Northern Natural Gas and Northern Border gas pipeline companies. Mr. Jesse received a BSBA in finance and MBA from the University of Nebraska Omaha. He serves as treasurer for the Saint Vincent de Paul Society of Omaha, as the endowment committee chair for Mercy High School and as a retirement plan committee member for Creighton Federal Credit Union.
